Cycling South Australia Seeking Development Coaches

Cycling South Australia is progressing with the reform of our Junior Development Programs. This restructures should create clearer pathways through our programs, with better progression and inclusion, and scope for greater functionality.

Currently, we are looking to fill three positions which will assist the State Development Coach in running the successful TID and Junior Development Programs, along with helping other CSA run programs.

Listed below are the Key roles and responsibilities for the positions which are taken from the full position description attached below:

§ Assist the State Development Head Coach to coach athletes currently in the CSA High-Performance pathway – in State Development and/ or Talent ID; § Assist the State Development Head Coach to plan, implement and review and training sessions for athletes in CSA High Performance Programs relating to physical preparation (in consultation with support staff), technical development and performance improvement;

§ Assist the State Development Head Coach to produce detailed training programs for each training block;

§ Provide coaching support at targeted events and competitions as required;

§ Coaching assistance across areas of the CSA High-Performance pathway will include, but not be limited to;

§ Endurance ergo sessions

§ Bunch rides/endurance sessions

§ Competition

§ Assistance at races

§ Coaching backfill when required
